Just read that the stages of the human lifecycle are birth, infant,
toddler, kid, pre-teen, teen, young adult, adult, death. I'm 1 stage
from death. Not what you want to find out on a Sunday night.

Once again I've managed to take an enjoyable pastime, listening to pop music, and turn it into a tiresome chore, by listening to the Beatles catalogue in sequence, an album a day on repeat. Today I'm up to Help! and my findings so far are that to this point their best album was A Hard Day's Night, their weakest was Beatles For Sale, Help! seems to be their biggest turning point til then, and Ringo wasn't actually a terrible drummer, just a very adequate one. Further findings to follow.

useful tip of the day
If you're practicing your moonwalking in your kitchen you might want to check your cats water bowl isn't directly behind you or you could end up kicking it all over yourself and the floor. Bad, schamon!

out in the country
Made it out last night for a too short cycle. Took a route that I'd normally have gone for a run on, but at least I made it out. I was planning on going out on a proper ride tonight from York to Selby on the national cycle route but it is currently raining VERY heavily so that might get delayed. RUBBISH.
Well last night after a lot of dicking around I made it out on the road at around dusk. It's strange the amount of wildlife you get to see on a bike, rabbits everywhere. I'm sure Chas 'n' Dave have a song that could be appropriated. Well last night I saw the usual mass of rabbits around York Race Course, as well as an owl in flight. Well I'm pretty sure it was a barn owl, not that I know 1 thing about birds. So I'm cycling along marvelling at the owl when I see a chav ahead who has got off his bike and is poking around at something in a lay-by. As I got closer I could see that he was poking a squirrel, that was flicking around and I guess had been hit by a car, with his foot. I didn't stop but I did wonder whether his interest in the distressed squirrel was out of concern or for entertainment. Who knows?
