Following the Republican convention I think I've found the secret to making a successful speech. you start..very....quietly..... and slowly....and you Gradually. Get Louder. AND LOUDER UNTIL THE AUDIENCE START APPLAUDING!!!!!

what a bunch of complete bastards. It wasn't that different from the Democrat convention (Who actually gives a fuck what the potential 'first lady' has to say?) but it truly sickens me. The sorry thing is that I think enough Americans are thick enough to make the same mistake as the last 2 elections. and I still haven't seen a genuine reason how McCain can be campaigning for change and cleaning up Washington when it's still the same party that have fucked things up so badly for the last 8 years.

Seriously. I have a shirt that's a picture of the Guardian's cover after our last fucked up election that says "How could [number that voted for Bush] People be so Dumb?"

There's also a picture that lists our states by average IQ and how they voted. All the stupidest states voted for Bush.

I live in the South and fucking hate it. These hillbilly rednecks I work with are saying if Obama is elected there's going to be a mass riot to protest.

Protest what?! These morons down here can't drive either. Like at ALL.

Okay, that about covers it I think.

I think I'll try the Republican Approach To Public Speaking next time I teach. I reckon the moment I am shouting what a MEAN and STANDARD DEVIATION is then people will truly get it.

My teaching evaluations are going to go through the fucking roof!

Pretty genius of a country to criticise American Politics when their own country is in the shitter. ?

To witness all of the council government regulations in the UK compared to USA politics it seems quite comical.

I'll freely admit that USA politics are screwed up but while you're given multiple choices for your leaders we're given two. Usually two that both suck.

Additionally, the "President" doesn't run the country the government does. Both House of Reps and Congress have been led by Democrats. Laws passed and not passed must go through them. So while it's easy to look at it from an outsider perspective it's NOT so easy to make a decision of this much importance.

Both candidates have good points of view and bad. You must simply look at it as to which one more closely resembles your views. Barack Obama doesn't match mine. Do you want a Pakistani running Parliament? I don't want a Muslim in the White House. Nor do I want a centralized HealthCare plan like that in the UK.

Rarely do I spill such political views anywhere. I happen to cross your blog and absolutely LOVE YORK! I couldn't pass by the opportunity set the record straight on those "dumb states".

Debbie - sorry if you feel misled but I don't set myself up as a spokesperson for the whole of the UK.

"Do you want a Pakistani running Parliament?" I couldn't care less

"I don't want a Muslim in the White House." why not and what does that have to do with anything?

you think the U.S. has a better healthcare system than the UK? amazing
