I'm clicking on the 'next blog' link at the top of this blogger page, looking for something of interest, and all the blogs seem to be in foreign! What has happened to the world?!? It's political correctness gone mad!!!

Anvil! The Story of Anvil

9/10 - Finally had chance to see this at it's one and only screening at my local Picturehouse cinema. Well worth a look, and far more than just being 'the real Spinal Tap', though I guess you'll have to wait for the DVD release now seeing as cinemas seem to be full of bollocks like Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
That said though, there does seem to be quite a few films of the blockbuster variety out soon that might be worth a look.
This weekend another trip to the cinema could be on the cards, a toss up between State of Play or Wolverine.
This weekend is my first in a while that I haven't had anything on, with last weekends visit by my brother and his other half, and the week before that my trip back to Shropshire, although this weekend I do have the restriction of being on call, meaning it will be a booze free affair. The lack of hangovers could make it more constructive though.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Easily one of the shittest films I've wasted my time on in a long while.
Yet another CGI blockbuster where a load of 'stuff' happens but the story is very flimsy and the ending just kind of comes along. 95 minutes of my life I won't get back.
So much for today being the day I pull my finger out and get on with doing things I've been putting off. Got in from work and didn't go to gym, didn't read some work related thing I should have. I just got in and watched a rubbish film. Ho hum.

Happy St George's Day!!
I like how every year on St George's Day wankers moan on about how the English do nothing to mark it, unlike the Irish who celebrate St Patrick's Day by getting pissed (for 365 days). So let us make next year the year that counts. We now have 364 days to plan what to do for next year. I intend to do nothing besides post a pithy blog here perhaps.

Commiserations this week go to Phil Spector for being found guilty of second degree murder, but also congratulations for looking as though he's come straight out of The Dark Crystal

current mood: utterly miserable
It seems as though twitter has made LIC slightly redundant seeing as this blog only really consisted of randoms thoughts here and there, and at a push they can fit nicely into the 140 character limit of a tweet. So LIC's loss is twitter's gain I guess, good for Twitter then, but I thought I'd break my silence to post about my cat Milo who had to be put to sleep yesterday. He would have been 17 years old next month and I'd got into the habit of taking him for granted and the fact he was old became a kind of running joke, such as planning what we'd do for his 30th birthday. He was a constant that had been there from when I was at school, through university, up to now were I'm planning my wedding for later this year. But inevitably the end came and I just regret that his last night was at the vet's, although if I hadn't done that I'm sure I'd regret not trying to do more for him. Bye bye little man.
I think this could be my first sincere post... life really is a bit cock sometimes.
